Security & two-factor authentication
How WizJob AI protects your account and data — and how to add two-factor authentication.
Your WizJob AI account holds sensitive material — your resume, your job-search history, and your connected accounts. Security is built into the platform, and there are steps you can take to harden your account further.
How WizJob AI protects you
- JWT authentication — secure, token-based sessions protect your signed-in state.
- OAuth sign-in — sign in with Google or LinkedIn without WizJob AI ever handling your password for those providers.
- Two-factor authentication (2FA) — optional TOTP-based second factor for your account.
- Encryption — your data is protected in storage and transit.
Turn on two-factor authentication
Open security settings
Go to Settings → Security and choose Enable 2FA.
Scan the QR code
Use an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password to scan the code.
Confirm the code
Enter the six-digit code from your app to verify the setup.
Save your backup codes
Store the backup codes somewhere safe. They let you sign in if you ever lose your authenticator device.
Don't skip the backup codes
If you lose your 2FA device without your backup codes, recovering access is much harder. Save them the moment you enable 2FA.
