Getting Started

Quickstart: from signup to first auto-apply in 5 minutes

The fastest path from a brand-new account to a WizBot applying to jobs for you.

5 min readUpdated July 2026

This is the express route. Follow it end to end and you'll have a WizBot live and applying to matching roles in about five minutes. You can refine everything later — the goal here is momentum.

  1. Create and verify your account

Sign up with email, Google, or LinkedIn and confirm your email if prompted. No card required.

  2. Add a resume

Upload your existing resume so WizJob AI can parse it, or use the AI Resume Builder to generate one. This resume becomes the default your bot submits.

  3. Create your first WizBot

From the dashboard, click New WizBot. Give it a name you'll recognize, like 'Senior Frontend – Remote'.

  4. Set your targeting

Choose your target role, a minimum salary, and job type (full-time, contract, remote, hybrid, on-site). Attach the resume you just added, and optionally add companies to exclude.

  5. Launch

Start the bot. It immediately begins scanning LinkedIn, Greenhouse, Lever, Wellfound and other boards for roles that fit, and submits tailored applications on your behalf.

What happens next

Within minutes, your activity log starts filling with scanned and submitted applications. WizBot also sends personalized recruiter follow-ups so your applications get seen. Check back through the day to watch it work.

After the first run

Give the bot a day, then open your Tracker. If it's applying to roles that aren't quite right, tighten your targeting or add exclusions. If it's finding too few, broaden the role title or lower the salary floor slightly. Small adjustments compound quickly.
