Interview Prep

Quiz vs Voice vs Real-time modes

Understand the three interview practice modes and when to reach for each one.

Interview Prep offers three modes, each simulating a different slice of the real experience. Most people use all three across their prep — quiz to learn, voice to rehearse, real-time to pressure-test.

Quiz mode

Question-and-answer practice you can move through at your own pace. Great for building coverage across common questions, learning the frameworks for structured answers, and warming up before the more intense modes.

Voice mode

The AI speaks questions aloud and you answer by talking. It scores your spoken responses, which is invaluable because saying an answer is very different from thinking it. Use voice mode to smooth out filler words, pacing, and rambling.

Real-time mode

The closest simulation to a live interview — a flowing, back-and-forth conversation with follow-up questions, in real time. Reach for this in the final stretch before an interview to rehearse under realistic pressure.

A simple progression

Start in Quiz to build breadth, move to Voice to sharpen delivery, then finish in Real-time to rehearse the full experience. Repeat for each interview you're preparing for.
